 Here is a transcript of an interview with Miss Asma' Afiqah Binti Zulkefli, a developer at Tekno Khidmat Company who is working on a system. She graduated from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons). She is in charge of technical writing in the development of a system, to be precise. She's been working in this field for approximately two years.

Feelings During Learning Process

 

Our truthfulness emotions in this subject :

At first our team members felt very clueless because it is our first time handling this kind of project and we are wandering around while asking our friends how to manage this project so well. We also ask our senior back then and we finally put our spirit and effort to sustain the energy by finding the interviewer because we also want to know more about systems. In middle of discussion with our team members, we asking each other ‘What is the relation of accounting with this project?’. Finally after all the processed we have been through together, we found that we must be a student who has the empowerment not only in accounting but also need to have any other basics and its supposed to called common knowledge and  soft skill because when we are in working phase, people in the firm really want to know your advantage instead of the highest pointer you have. So we delightful to thanks to our lecturer for gave this task to us to learn more and more about process of system..

Sort Out The Activities

 

Summarize from initial to the end of our discussions :

Week 1 :

Reflection after the activities given, at first we have our first meeting to get to know and understands the activities. After got a long discussion between us, we decided to survey the company that's have any programmer, developer or researcher of system. So we met a lot of companies but not in Malaysia at first, then we limit the scope and trying to find them slowly.

Week 3 :

After a few days, we found a few of developers and programmer and most of them kind of rejected of our proposal to interview them because they are too busy handling their company’s issues. Its been tiring week for us and one of our team member have a lot of connection and suddenly found a programmer who is willingly to work with us.

Week 5:

The day after we finally got someone who is eligible to interview, our team decide to have another meeting to do a question related to our topics and one of our team member start to create a blog just to insert all of the the information about our project. Its been a new experience to us when we learn how to create the blog and thanks to our lecturer for giving us the opportunity to learn this kind of thing in this subject.

Week 6:

Finally its time for our first interview with a knowledgeable person like her but the worst part is she is not willingly to meet us via online meeting and she just want to answer all the questions given just by text only. So in order to smooth it, we decided to let one of our team member to interview her by text and we are so grateful because all the question has been answer gracefully.

Week 7:

We gather all the information about her company and how they developed the product and system and we trying so hard to relate all the information to our learning outcome and we found that we has been comfort with a new knowledge about system and its process. Although look simple if we read by the notes, the difficulties is when you are in the situation when you give the task to settle up the error or bug in the system.

Week 8:

After learning process we decided to give our team members task to fulfill. We insert all the learning outcomes that we understand based on the information that given by our developer at blog and we also do a few mind map to our fellows, so they will understand our project after look the pictures given in our blog.

Introduction/summarization of Accounting Information Systems (AIS)

 

Argued Information

 

We didn't have much of an argument regarding the information because we had already brainstormed it together. We hold a meeting  with the group members early on to ensure that everyone is clear and understanding on what needs to be done for this e-portfolio project and also to avoid misunderstandings. Through this task, all of the ideas and knowledge were relevant as everyone conducts the ideas effectively. We divided the tasks equally and assigned each person a specific responsibility. At the end of the day, we all reached the same conclusion.

Organizing ideas/information

 First and foremost, we gathered information about the ideas from a variety of sources and placed it into Google Docs. Our group members obtained information by conducting interviews with developers, reviewing sources from topics we had studied, and searching from the internet. Making an outline is a good approach to organize information. By selecting key topics, subtopics, and details under the subtopics, an outline organizes materials that we found to generate flow for our project. Outlining will help in the creation and organization of concepts in a logical and sequential manner.

Not only that, but by organizing ideas, the mind is able to pull information together and make sense of it. The more 'genuine' the organizing idea is, the richer the mental pattern is. Information that is organized using a main idea, followed by important points and various details, is easier to understand. Moreover, we categorize the ideas/information into categories that are related or comparable. As a result, the ideas/information will be more logical and organized. This step may raise new questions that may require to gather more information and examine some ideas in more detail.
